Smells gorgeous, last well
Up until recently I didn`t really wear perfumes, tending to limit their use to nights out and special occasions, so it will come as no surprise to you that I only owned one bottle. The problem was that the one bottle of perfume I own is more of an evening scent, and I was going to a wedding at 2pm, so it really didn`t fit the bill. As it was a special occasion and I was getting all dressed up (I wore a dress for the first time since I was about 10!) I wanted to wear a nice perfume as well, and after testing a few, decided Dior Addict 2 would be perfect.
Dior Addict 2 is available as an Eau De Toilette Spray, priced at £25 for 20ml, or £39 for 50ml on boots.com, though I`m sure it can be found cheaper. Considering the fact that I don`t often wear perfume, I opted for the 20ml version. There is also a `girly collector` bottle available at the same prices, and a `shimmering perfumed body moisturiser`, which would be perfect if you wanted to layer your scent to make it last longer, priced at £21 for 200ml.
The bottle comes packaged in a girly pink shiny box with Dior Addict printed in red and a big glittery number 2. When you open the box, you`ll find instructions for how to use the spray printed on the inside of the top flap, with a little instructional diagram.
The bottle itself is a very light pink coloured transparent glass, with a silver top. The top has the words Dior Addict in raised lettering down the front, to the left of which is the hole where the spray comes out. On top is a little knob which is used to open and close the spray by turning it as per the instructions on the inside of the box. All in all, I`d say the bottle looks stylish and sophisticated, but it`s also very girly, so perhaps aimed more at younger women.
The spray is very easy to use, simply turn the knob to open, and press down to spray. The spray creates quite a fine mist of perfume, but I`d say it`s best to hold it about 30cm away from the skin when spraying, otherwise you can end up with too much of the perfume in one place and make your skin wet, as the spray is quite precisely directed and doesn`t disperse very far.
The scent has top notes of grapefruit and bergamot, heart notes of freesia and grenadine, and base notes of white musks and sandalwood. Grapefruit is certainly the most evident to me, followed by the freesia. I`m not sure what bergamot and grenadine are supposed to smell like, so it`s hard to say whether these are evident in the scent, but I don`t really notice the bottom notes of white musk and sandalwood at all until the rest of the scent has practically worn off and the white musk starts to come through. Personally I`d describe the scent as light, fresh and summery with a distinctly feminine feel, though I`ve just looked on boots.com at their description which reads, `A bubble of optimism and mischievous femininity for the innocently sexy girl. A sparkling energy for a lively sensation. The sparkle of tangy notes, the lightness of delicate flowers and crisp fruits, with musk base notes`, and I`d say that`s way better than my description and sums it up perfectly!
The scent really lasts, and if I spray it directly onto my skin in the morning I can smell it all day. Though using my preferred method of spraying it into the air and walking through it, I find the scent doesn`t last as long, and if I want to be able to smell it all day I do need to reapply it. I`ve also found you don`t get that chemically after-scent that you get with a lot of perfumes as they start to wear off.
The great thing about this scent is it`s really versatile. Just one or two squirts and the scent is perfect for everyday wear or daytime events (like the wedding), a couple more squirts and it`s strong enough for evening wear or a night out. I think the scent would appeal to most women, though as mentioned earlier the packaging suggests it is most likely aimed more at the younger market.
All in all I`m very pleased I bought this perfume, it was absolutely the perfect scent for the wedding (and I had loads of compliments from rather posh relatives of the bride on my `delightful` scent that day!), and I love it so much I`ve actually been using it near enough every day since, which is a first for me. It doesn`t give me a headache like many perfumes can, and it doesn`t irritate my skin at all. All I can say is I wish I`d bought the bigger bottle!

smells gorgeous, nice bottle and packaging
I first became aware of this perfume when i saw a fragrenced page in a magazine. After smelling the page i thought it was ok but nothing special, but when it came to goin on my holidays and looking round the duty free shop i came across this perfume. When ismelt it again, this time from the actual bottle i realised that the advert did not do it justice. I loved it so much that i bought a bottle there and then.
The bottle itself is an unusual design as the lid does not come off, insted you twist it then press dwn to spray it. This comes in handy because you no longer spend time chasing stray lids around the floor which you have dropped. The box itself is also nice, it is metalic pink and has the number 2 in glittery writing.
Back to the fragrance itself, it is not overbearing and is quite sweet, however i have found that later on durig the day i have not been able to smell it as much, but i have had friends compliment this perfume and my boyfriend loves it.
I would definetly reccomend this perfume as it is now my favourite prices range from around £25 for the smaller bottle to around £35 for a larger botle.

unusual, classy but light smell
I discovered this fragrance because I like the design of Dior Addict. So I went into a store in the hope that one of the three would appeal to me. It`s just like my luck that the pink one smells best; I have no use for this current pink hype. The other two seemed rather sharp, but unremarkable otherwise. What a shame, the dark blue one looks particularly classy. In my humble opinion, the same design but in a light minty green would have been much better for a summer fragrance.
Anyway, immediately after spraying it you get a very citrusy impression. It settles into a quite abstract fragrance. I mean that in the best possible way; it`s a sort of challenge since you don`t reallty know what it smells of. It`s described as fresh, sweet and floral. I would add mysterious as it keeps you guessing. It`s definitely more complex than other fresh fragrances.
The top notes are Grapefruit, Bergamot
middle notes: Freesia, Grenadine
base notes: White Musks, Sandalwood
At first I was disappointed that there was nothing stronger than Eau de Toilette, but it lasts surprisingly long. You can extend that further by using the body lotion. I haven`t bought this yet, I`m waiting for a special occasion to buy this exceptionally lovely scent.
Interestingly, my little Siamese cat loves is. The first time I tested it on a strip of paper. She kept sniffing it. A while later I tried it on my wrist and she licked it and rubbed her face on it. My lovely little perfume expert! (She reacts in this same way to Chanel Allure and Coco Mademoiselle, and ignores my other perfumes.)
The regular Eau de Toilette comes in 20ml and 50ml bottles, £26 and £40 respectively. There is a "Girly Collector" version of the same scent in a similar but stockier bottle, 50ml at £39. The body lotion costs £22 for 200ml. These are the prices given on the Boots website, there might be lower ones elsewhere.
I hope this is helpful.
