Smells great on a man and even better on a woman, Deeply sexy yet crisp, sweet and clean
I first came across Boss by accident. I was going through my label junkie phase and needed my next hit. I walked in to House of Fraiser and picked up a bottle of Boss and gave myself a little spray here and there. Not knowingly that I just contaminated myself (a gal) with a men’s fragrance: it was love at first smell.
Now Ladies, I know what you’re thinking but seriously give Boss for Men a go. I’ve worn this on several occasions and I cannot describe the positive reaction I gained from it. I have had girls on the street ask what I’m wearing, and even the guys appear to like lingering around my neck just that little longer. Yes, Boss is a deeply sexy and sweet fragrance on a man, but trust me; it’s even better on a woman.
Because Boss is a sweet and citrus like fragrance anyone can pull it off. The sandalwood in it simply gives it that heavy hint of that sexiness I can’t describe that I find is lacking in women’s scents. In fact, it is a scent that you don’t find many women wear so you really stand out if you do. Besides, if men love smelling it on themselves I’m sure they’ll love smelling it on you.
I usually wear Boss when the sickly sweet and musky women’s fragrance won’t cut it and I want to leave the house with a little bit of attitude in a fresh and clean scent. I find that it’s something great to wear in the autumn to winter, in a red dress, or if you’re just going out for a drink with your lady friends or a little play date. More so, if you do ever find yourself wearing it, it’s a scent that really says to people “don’t walk all over me”.
I find that Boss is a scent that morphs with you. If you smell it on a man and then smell it on a woman, it will be slightly different and will give you two different images of them both. I also find that the scent lasts you a good twelve hours if not more. It does change slightly throughout the day but I find that it begins to accentuate your nicer natural smells and pheromones and starts to become sexier as it combines with your own scent.
I’ve actually only got a 30ml Eau de Toilette bottle in a clear glass container and a silver effect lid. The box itself is a sturdy grey-silver box. I can’t remember how much I paid for it; I think I bought it on a deal where it came in a gift box with Boss in Motion, which I gave to my ex-boyfriend. I believe you can purchase a 50ml bottle for about £25 and a 100ml bottle for £30, but have a shop around for your best deal.
It does contain Alcohol Denat in it which I find tends to dry my skin without moisturising. It also contains Benzophene-2 if that means anything to anyone?
To summarise, it’s a heavy deep and sexy scent yet crisp and fresh, quite sweet and woody and very unlike the heavy musky and almost intoxicating and “sexy” scents you find in the women’s aisle. Go for it girls!

Fresh and clean smelling, sweet yet masculine, long lasting fragrance
Just recently, and after a lot of prompting, my man started to try out the range of Hugo Boss fragrances for men. We started with the ‘Hugo’ fragrance which I’ve already reviewed but have since found another from the range which is even more appealing!
‘Boss’ is a fragrance that any man, of any age, could wear for just about any occasion. Less fruity than Hugo, it has a wonderful fresh and clean scent and is slightly sweeter, much muskier and very very sexy without seeming at all feminine. Intoxicating and heady (without being so strong that it makes your head ache!), it changes subtly throughout the day as the base notes come to the fore. It’s a hard one to describe in words, but is a long lasting fragrance that will intoxicate you completely.
I can only really describe it as very romantic. Picture moonlit walks on the beach on a warm summer’s night hand in hand with the man of your dreams, and imagine how you’d like him to smell. Very clean, without being too ‘scented’ and with a hint of musk that is just irresistible to your nostrils! Your man will always smell as if he’s just stepped out of the shower if he wears Boss. So many fragrances for men can be quite bitter and even acidic, this one isn’t. It’s probably the sweetest men’s fragrance I’ve ever discovered but at the same time, there is nothing feminine about it, nor does it offend your nostrils by being too strong or cloying.
The top notes are distinctly masculine, combining a blend of citrus and woody fragrances and as the scent settles on your man’s skin, it changes subtly to a fresher and sweeter scent, with a hint of apple, amber, bergamot and pine in particular. Almost like a fresh clean talcum powder in fragrance after a time, it’s incredibly long lasting too. One application will find your man smelling fresh and clean throughout the entire day without being overpowering.
Boss is housed in very simple and masculine packaging, a clear sturdy glass bottle with a grey/black lid. The bottle has the letters of BOSS embossed down one side and dark lettering down the other.
Pricewise, it certainly isn’t the cheapest you’ll find. Expect to pay at least £35 for the 100ml size Eau de Toilette spray and £25 for the 50ml size but in my opinion, is worth every penny! If you’re looking for a classic men’s fragrance that is long lasting and predominantly fresh smelling, yet warm with a hint of spice, then Boss is definitely for you. It’s totally intoxicating! Go get him some now girls! :O)

Smell Gorgeous
HUGO BOSS BOSS
We were sitting in church on Sunday and I kept getting a whiff of a really nice smell. You know when you keep on wanting to smell something again and again. I asked Jim what aftershave he had on and he said Insignia. I left it at that until we got in the car and I realized it was my son Ross who was smelling so ( I was going to say lovely but I don’t think he would appreciate that) masculine and really nice .
“Where did you get that? “ I said I haven’t smelt that before. It was at the back of all the shaving gear. When we got home I realized Jim had got it as a pressie ages ago and had forgot about it “well discovered Ross”

I think it might have changed now but this one is in a black box with BOSS written in large bold letters in white and smaller underneath it says Hugo Boss in smaller writing

The bottle is really chunky it is almost a square 3ins by 3 ¼ INS
Its clear glass with an indented rectangle with BOSS after-shave lotion après resage. Which means after-shave in French (I did French at school). LOL It has a chunky black screw cap
Smell
As I said before really nice the kind of smell you just can’t get enough of It is kind of citrus and fruity with what I would call zing but really masculine
Price wise. It was a pressy but I was told today it would cost about £25 as I am writing this Ross remembered he bought it when he was skiing with the disabled in America. And just remembered.

Yes I would recommend anyone by it, it is really sexy!
