very girly smell, the bottle shape
This is the first time I have strayed away from my main perfume (red jeans, Ive worn it since I was about 12) and been happy. I briefly dabbled in J`adore, and didnt like it due to the strength of it. I cant remember how I came to think of getting a tester of this one, but as soon as I did, I kept the tester in my pocket for days just to keep taking out and smelling until I got the money to buy a bottle. When I got the tester card I got it sprayed on my wrist as well. The spay on the card settled better than the one on my wrist, as it stayed really sweet, whereas I (or rather, my skin) obviously changed something in the perfume, but went ahead and bought it anyway. *Scent I cant really think how to describe the perfume, never been one for sniffing and picking out different things. It`s a very sweet perfume, but not the kind that makes you want to gag because it envelops you. It`s a kind of sweet but fresh at the same time. I presume its flowery, but as said before, I cant really identify any one thing in it. The one word that comes to mind when smelling this is pink. It`s not overly strong either. I wear it from morning to evening (although, when it gets to evening I tend to have to spray a little more on as it fades a bit during the day) and dont seem to cause anyone to wrinkle their nose up. A few people have asked me what perfume I`m wearing though, so I presume it must permeate a bit beyond me. *Packaging A change by Chanel. I dont think I have seen any other bottles of Chanel that are other than the typical cubiod of No5 and Coco. Apperntly (according to the Chanel website) the artistic director imagined `chance` and came up with a perfect circle with a metal band holding the chance in (although it says it much better on their site :)) And that is effectivly what the bottle is. A very fat glass cylinder with a band of silver metal about a centimetre wide around it, and, of course importantly, the stamp on the bottom to prove its genuine. The only qualm I have with this bottle is (possibly due to my innocence in the world of Chanel) that for £40, I would have expected more of the top that came with it. It fits in well with the overall bottle shape, and is obviously a retention of the classic Chanel shape (kind of diamond cut), but is made out of plastic. I know, I know, what did I expect, a crystal stopper? But it kind of ruins the experience when opening the bottle, as the bottle is very heavy, and the lid is very light plastic. Apart from the lid, I personally think this is an exceptinally pretty and simple idea for a very elegant perfume bottle. The box it came in was gorgeous as well, all pink with gold edges and a very plain `Chanel Chance` written in the centre of the front. It was an added bonus that I got a Chanel bag with it too :) *Overall This is a stray away from general Chanel fragrances. It seems to be catering for a younger generation, although on asking one of my male friends what he thought of it, he claimed I smelt like one of his teachers used to, or maybe his mother. I think I`ll ignore him though. As far as I am aware, the other Chanel fragrances to tend to be a little mature for me to wear, this one screams `girly` though, and is possibly the most feminine scent I have ever smelled. I utterly adore this perfume. A big day for me, my very first Chanel.

Long lasting
This fragrance is like no other I have ever come across. It is totally unique. Recently new to the market but an instant classic. I sell perfume for a living in Harvey Nichols and this is a perfume adored by all. I`ve never once sprayed this on to someone`s arm and they not have liked it. It can be worn by all ages. It`s a long lasting perfume, the scent lingers with you all day. Recognisable. Classed as an oriental floral fragrance. It contains notes of hyacinth and citron, jasmine, pink pepper, fresh vetiver, orris absolute, amber patchouli and white musk. Very romantic and seductive. This product is available in 50ml, 100ml and now handbag size 3x30ml, as well as a range of bath time products. The Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche fragrance has recently been launched and is based on the original chance but a lot lighter and in my opinion does not last two minutes. The original is always best. Buy it and I promise you will love it!

smells really nice, stylish bottle and lasts long
Well what can i can the title pretty much sums it up. You have got to try it. Its only recently come out in England but ive had it since september 2002 as i brought it over seas. Quite suprised with the huge time lap. Anyway i really like it Smell- its really girly, has a distictive smell much different from the other chanels. its kind of refreshing and has a really strong favour that hits you instantly. i would partly describe it as flowerly but also a bit sweet. The combination of this is delicious. Staying power- as it is really strong it tends to last a long time for the EDT which is great so it doesnt get used up quickly. Packaging- i love the bottle its so cute and pink The lid is very secure which is important as it annoys me when they become loose and spill. its a cool cube shape that gives it that edge as the bottle is round but the lid it cubed. the box is nice and pink but simple which is good. When to wear it- i think its suits most occasions as its quite neutral and ideal for most, however i usually wear it for casual and special occasions or whenever i feel in the chance mood. Age group- majority of the chanels are aimed for the more mature woman but i feels this can suit any age from about 17- late 50 that is my opinion. It good that chanel is aiming their perfumes for a more wider age group. Overall this is a great perfume smells great, looks good but it expensive but worth it.
