Beautifully fresh smell
I first experienced Contradiction when on holiday in the Dominican Republic. My Dad was very sly and bought my mum a 50ml bottle from the duty free on the plane and gave it to my mum on Christmas day (yes the Carribean at Christmas, amazing!) She loved it so much that now I cannot help but assoicate the smell with the gorgeous holiday. Having recently been bought the perfume by my loved one I love it just as much as she does.
Clavin Klein, the US based company, not only produces perfume but also clothing. You cannot help but feel very sexy when wearing either! Contradiction is no exception. The uber sleek bottle itself appeals from you first impression. If you buy a 30ml bottle or larger you will get a cylinder shapped bottle which is made of opaque glass. This is surrounded by the "lid" which is a slip-over metal cylinder. The whole package, for a regular 30ml bottle is about 12cm high and 5cm in diagmeter. Obviously as you go up in size the wider the diameter but the bottle retains its regular dimentions.
The bottle shape does mean that you only see about 3cms worth of glass at the bottom. This has the benefit of meaning that leaking is an almost impossibility but you can get to practically the end of the bottle beofre you realise you are running low.
The scent:
This is a very fresh and fruity smell. Contradiction is worn best in the summer months as it`s light, fresh scent suits the season perfectly. I have worn it in winter though and feel like I have brought some of the summer sweetness to Christmas. I do generally save this scent for going out and special occasions as it is quite expensive but it can be easily worn every day and seems to be a scent that suits the office or the posh restuarant quite easily.
Value for money:
As I have said before this is not a cheap scent. In the perfume shop I saw a 30ml bottle for £20, 50 ml for £24 and 100 ml for £32. But it is so worth it! I have had my 30ml bottle for several months now, wearing it almost every day, and am only now thinking about having to replace it.
Younger women will proably want a scent a bit sweeter and I would definately assoicate this scent with a slightly more spohisticated woman who likes the finer things in life! I personally love it and love weraing it. The bottle is easy to use and application is no problem with the easy point squirty top.
Enjoy ladies!

It smells bloody gorgeous
Fortunately or sadly, it isn`t an unusually long silver plated vibrator for the woman who has everything. Nay, it`s a tres cool smell for the gal with tattoo`s.
The last time I bought perfume was in the Body Shop`s heyday and like every teen with delusions of grandeur, I drenched myself in White Musk. A couple of years ago I decided that I needed a `smell`, one that wasn`t baby puke. I wanted to waft into a room bringing with me an unforgettably beautiful aroma and have everyone associate it with me. So, for an exquisite perfume of quality of course I went to Asda.
I mooned around the perfume counter looking lost until the fragrance lady (Who herself had a smell all her own, probably a combinaton of every eau de toilette known to man and supermarket) asked to help.
I want a COOL smell, ya know? I don`t like floral...it has to go with my flares... I don`t wanna smell like a bloke... my tattoo`s...
Suprisingly, we connected and `Contradiction` was sprayed liberally about my person.
It was about £35 for a 50ml bottle of pure elegance, but away from the supermarket I`ve seen it for about £40. Pretty expensive, but what price a cool smell?
I`d reccommened you to part with the extra fiver because the one I bought from Asda lasted for about a minute and I ended up re-applying it a million times a day.
Away from the supermarket, a little goes a long way, but it isn`t disgustingly overwhelming like some perfumes, and to smell gorgeous all day long you should spray yourself about 2/3 times a day.
The bottle is of frosted glass with a matt silver lid that`s nearly as big as the bottle itself. It`s an eau de toillette spray, which means it`s cheaper than real perfume, and it`s more like a body spray.
I`m lousy at descriptions, but it`s fruity, feminine without being too girly and doesn`t smell like I should be wearing F*** me boots and a little tight dress.
So yes, it goes perfectly with the image and I don`t walk, I glide in a cloud of chic.

Sexy, crowd-pleaser. Lingering scent
Contradiction is a strong, warm, sexy fragrance but manages to avoid being overpowering. I was given a bottle by my boyfriend because he liked it (always a good sign…).
The bottle is really unusual as, when it is closed, you can only see a very small amount of the perfume itself. The silver cylindrical cover gives it a decadent minimalist appearance and has a function in protecting the perfume from sunlight and heat degeneration so hopefully it will last longer.
The scent of the perfume lingers all day without changing noticeably and I find it a real mood lifter. It’s quite a ‘grown-up’ smell but still fun. A modern classic.
UPDATE!!! In response to a helpful comment from a fellow, I had avoided describing the smell because it`s a little difficult to be accurate, but here goes... it`s very warm and spicy, quite sweet, and it reminds me of home baking - the smell of currant buns cooking or something. (Very Xmasy, don`t you think?) except not that homey - reminds me of sexy nights in in front of an open fire with Haagen Daz. The ultimate accolade
