Beautifully packaged light and fresh
Although I am a man and obviously don`t wear White Linen perfume myself (!) this is a perfume that has been a firm favourite amongst the women in my family for many, many years and is always a perfect Christmas or Birthday gift!
It is one of the classic Estee Lauder fragrances and has a light and fresh fragrance that is perfect for summer and reminds me of fruit. It has an almost sweet smell that has a strong presence but is by no means overpowering but has good staying power.
The cost is approx. £30 for a 75ml bottle for an eau de toilette spray. Estee Lauder have also launched a perfume stick that is about the size of a lip stick and you dab this on your wrists and neck etc and is very useful for handbags for nights out etc! The cost of the perfume stick is only about £15 and makes a great small present.
They used to also make a pure perfume (approx £45) which was in a smaller bottle and was dabbed rather than sprayed which was my mum`s all time favourite although they now seemed to have stopped producing this!
The packing is very nice and expensive looking with a pale cream box with gold lettering. The perfume bottles are made from glass with a bevelled edge and a nice, unusual shape with a solid gold coloured clip off top.
I last bought a bottle as gift for a girlfriend last year and she had never before heard of Estee Lauder but is now a devotee to tehir products and uses them all the times (soaps, body lotions, you name it!)
I purchased this bottle form my local House of Fraser store and asked them to gift wrap it which they did in beautiful birthday paper and also threw in some other Estee Lauder samples to try (great marketing ploy as my girlfriend then went and purchased more products!!)
You tend to get some great deals on Estee Lauder in some larger department stores such as House of Fraser and Allders. They also do a good range of perfume sets whereby you get 5 different perume sets in smaller bottles allowing people to try different perfumes and then buy a larger bottle of their favourite (approx £25).
I would say that this perfume is a great gift for any woman and is not suitable for any particular age range as my grandmother, mother, sister and girlfriend have all loved receiving it as a gift.
they also produce some very nice gift sets around Christmas time.

a classic
One of my favourite colours is white and so it would be hard to not try using Estee Lauder`s White Linen perfume, especially when I do actually wear a lot of white line shirts to work. Anyway, what I like about this scent is the clean crisp smell that you would expect from a perfume such named. Personally though I would prefer it if they played down the smell slightly and made it slightly lighter, closer to the clean smell of freshly laundered sheets. Actually it one of the few perfumes that I know where a wide range of women both young and old share a liking for the smell. I know a 60 year olad and a 21 year old who both use and like it, I guess that makes it a classic.

fresh, clean smell, timeless
My granny used to wear this years ago which is what I always associate it with and she bought a bottle for my mum when I was a teenager. I used to spray some on when I was going to school discos and I`ve loved it ever since.
It`s got a gorgeous fresh scent to it and lasts all day. It smells clean and fresh and isn`t too heavy.
It`s reasonably priced, the cheapest size ranging from around £20 and is available pretty much anywhere that sells perfume. It`s still one of my favourites after all these years and is one of the first perfumes that I ever wore.
